While at the University of Dayton School of Law, Bob was named a Production Editor of the University of Dayton Law Review and was the sole winner of the Dean Frederick Davis Award for Excellence in Law Review Production. During law school, he was a law clerk with the Warren County Prosecuting Attorney's Office in Lebanon , Ohio and the City of Dayton 's Prosecuting Attorney's Office.

After graduating from law school in 1992, Bob served as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney with the Warren County Prosecuting Attorney Office in Lebanon , Ohio . He has prosecuted a wide range of cases including DUI, vehicular homicide, domestic violence, drug trafficking and child abuse. In particular, Bob wrote the appellate brief and participated in arguments before the Supreme Court of Ohio in one of the first criminal prosecutions using DNA evidence in Ohio . Further, he has been a guest lecturer on the detection and arrest of DUI offenders for the advance training of law enforcement authorities in Warren County .

Bob also speaks Spanish and is involved with the Hispanic community. Bob has represented individuals from more than 20 different countries.
