Road accidents are not uncommon during rainy weather. Adverse weather conditions are one of the common causes of motor vehicle accidents. Thus, it is vital to follow safety guidelines when driving in inclement weather.
When raining, check the windshield and wiper to ensure they are functioning appropriately. Inspect the car’s battery, brakes, seat belts, and check for water leakages. Ensure the tires are fit for the weather, have an emergency kit, and wash and wax the vehicle properly.
Failure to follow safety guidelines can result in a crash, and when that happens, those involved could die or suffer severe injuries. Victims who are not at fault for the auto crash can file a compensation claim against the negligent driver.
