One person died in a US 250 traffic accident in the Sunset Heights area outside Bridgeport. The crash happened on Wednesday, November 3rd. The accident report disclosed that a load being pulled by a truck rolled over onto a van.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol St. Clairsville Post, the accident happened around 10 a.m. near milepost 7 in Pease Township. The state patrol said that 29-year-old Antonio Joseph Michael Cunnughman Miller of Bridgeport drove a 2007 International dump truck and trailer loaded with an excavator. The man was eastbound on US 250.
Miller was negotiating a curve when the trailer and excavator overturned into the road’s westbound lane. It then struck a 2015 Dodge van driven by John Santimarino Jr., 55, of Wheeling. The Dodge driver died at the crash scene. Medics conveyed an unidentified passenger in the van to WVU Medicine Wheeling Hospital in critical condition.
The crash led to the closure of US 250 from Bridgeport to Chermont Road for several hours. OSHP was assisted by Belmont County Sheriff’s Office, Bridgeport Police Department, Martins Ferry Police Department, Colerain Fire Department, and Bridgeport Fire Department. Barton Fire Department, Sunset Heights Fire Department, Ohio Department of Transportation, Belmont County Emergency Management Agency, and Belmont County Coroner’s Office also assisted at the scene of the US 250 traffic accident. The investigation is ongoing.

Unfortunately, the compensation process is not as straightforward as people expect, making it essential to hire an accident attorney.
